Marketing Intern

Overall focus is to increase downloads for MealSteals app at respective University. 
Execute social media marketing initiatives with guidance from the Marketing Manager.   Execute guerilla marketing initiatives: 
Pass out and post flyers at campus hotspots (dorms, union, bathrooms, etc.).  Talk to students on campus about the app at social gatherings - explain the value proposition of the app. Performance based incentives. Provide brief weekly reports of that week's activities, and plans for the upcoming week

Developer Intern

Overall focus is to work with our development team on small sprints and app update pushes. Explore and grow knowledge base of how to develop an app, and all the inter-workings that go in between.
Contribute ideas and grow with the team.  This is a position that can lead to part/full time employment in the future, but will be for experience and college credit for the length of the internship. 

Copywriter Intern

Overall focus is to create blog, social, and email posts weekly.  Execute social media marketing initiatives with guidance from the Marketing Manager.  Create blog posts (both user and business facing) ex. hotspots, infographics, and how to's.  Provide brief weekly reports of that week's activities, and plans for the upcoming week

Design Intern

Motivated to learn about and grow MealSteals through graphic design work.
Has experience with Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.  Overall focus is to work with our marketing team on social posts, flyer/poster design, logo redesign & other marketing initiatives.  Scope of work will be 10-20 hours a week through spring semester.  This is a position that can lead to part/full time employment in the future, but will be for experience and college credit for the length of the internship. 

 

The ideal intern candidate is: 

Intended concentration in Marketing or other business related field.

At least a 3.0 GPA.

Extremely social, energetic, and passionate about the MealSteals movement.

Interested in getting startup experience.

At least a Junior, preferably involved in greek life or athletics (although not necessary).

Well organized and able to maintain effective communication. Is well connected on campus.

Agrees to school credit compensation.

Execute guerilla marketing initiatives: Pass out and post flyers at campus hotspots and other high traffic locations in the loop. Talk to students on campus about the app at social gatherings - explain the value proposition of the app.

Provide brief weekly reports of that week's activities, and plans for the upcoming week.
